Broccoli with Garlic and Oil



Broccoli with garlic and olive oil seems to be a very basic recipe since it is another simple recipe of mixing 3 elements and tossing them over the skillet.
It has almost no calories at all and it's great to snack it if you got hungry all of a sudden.
But don't let it fool you. Every one of these 3 ingredients is a mighty food for itself.
The Broccoli is a green vegetable with high amount of vitamins and dietary fibers.
The Olive oil has high amount of monounsaturated fats and can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. It is also known to lower blood sugar levels and blood pressure.
The Garlic is a magical vegetable who is known for its ability of preventing heart disease (including atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure) and cancer.

Broccoli with garlic and oil

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. crushed garlic
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • salt and pepper to taste




Directions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the broccoli, salt and pepper and toss with the olive oil and garlic until the broccoli turns bright green and becomes tender.
  • Remove from the skillet and serve.
