Type 2 Diabetes


Type 2 diabetes is more common. It appears in 90% of the population.
Not as in Type 1, in this case the body produces some insulin but not enough, or the cells cannot function with the insulin.
The age of the patients is above 40.

This type of diabetes appears slowly and many times it may be undiagnosed for years.
It may be discovered accidentally in a simple blood test.
One of the causes to this type of diabetes is overweight which generates high level of blood sugar.

The treatment in those cases does not have to be necessarily with insulin.
A personally tailored diet and body exercise will do.
